Introduction


The controlling electronics includes the central micro-controller, optical power detection and reporting of EDFA input and output, and the pump laser current driving electronics.


The key sections, such as the micro-controller and the pump lasers, have built-in redundancy in design. This allows the controlling electronics to be with high reliability, which features an FIT value below 20.


All the passive fiber optic components in the undersea EDFA are High-Rel category items.
